Can’t wait to get here. Never wants to leave.

Sure, we understand passion and a strong work ethic. And yes, we've heard the "Love what you do, and you'll never work a day in your life" line. But until Sean Perkins, we had never met anyone who lives it: "Maestro is one of those places that you just can't wait to get to and never want to leave in the afternoon." Not so surprising when you consider Sean decided on a career in programming in the fourth grade, did his fifth grade "hero speech" on Bill Gates, and started programming in Java at the age of 12.

All of this came naturally for this product of the Scotts/Vicksburg, MI area. Sean has two older brothers, Daniel and David, and a younger sister, Sara. In addition to valuing hard work, knowledge and drive, Sean loves Rice Krispies Treats, Mountain Dew, brownies—pretty much all things sweet and delicious. He also gets stoked walking his purebred Siberian husky puppy, Loki. Sean calls Netflix his "go-to for relaxing and just taking a break from life."

Before joining Maestro, Sean worked his way through Dimplex Thermal Solutions, starting as a CO-OP student in high school and ending up as the Application Developer tasked with building a CRM/sales system. With all the credits for an associate under his belt, Sean is soon to receive his degree in Computer Science from Kalamazoo Valley Community College.

"The Maestro team is outstanding and always more than willing to lend a brain. Since joining Maestro, I already feel that I am propelled years from when I started. The atmosphere is perfect and it's clear that a lot of hard work went into developing a stellar culture."

Strictly Sean:

  • Bought a house three weeks after his 20th birthday.
  • Was born “dead” with the umbilical cord wrapped around his neck.
  • Secretly yearns to be Superman.
