“Very curious" is how Doug describes himself, and almost in the same breath, “adventure seeking." Of course. What else could explain his European backpacking, scuba diving, kayaking and skydiving—to name the objects of a few of his curiosities.
As an interactive designer for Maestro, Doug Eklund builds training programs the same way he approaches life—with curiosity, energy and determination. Doug wants training modules to be as good as they can be because he sees a little of himself in every one he touches. For him, the goal is pretty simple: Effective elearning that's not boring.
A product of Southfield, Michigan, Doug studied fine arts at Western Michigan University before he left for a stint in California, an experience which nourished his yearn to travel (in search of more adventures we suspect). Fine art still captivates him, and someday he hopes to see his work in a gallery. In the meantime, Doug's family is front and center in this life—along with cycling, swimming and running.
