Video Production Intern

Maestro is seeking a video production intern for a paid, summer-long program designed to expose the intern to real, client-facing work primarily in the field of digital media. We expect this internship to run from May through August 2020, but don’t worry—we can be flexible on the specifics.

Who you are

Whether you are fresh out of film school or have been creating your own projects for as long as you could hold a camera, you have a love for video with some experience and talent to show for it.  Now, you want to take it to the next level; to see firsthand the workflow and process of a professional video production team.  You are eager to collaborate and put your skills to the test, using cutting edge equipment and software, so you can confidently begin your career in the digital media industry.


What you’ll be doing on the Media Team

  • Learn how media projects are briefed and executed
  • Help out the media team throughout the pre-production, filming, and editing of client projects
  • With guidance from the media team, brainstorm and produce your own Maestro passion project
  • Help shoot and edit internal marketing material for Maestro
  • Dedicate at least 20 hours to this internship per week

Talents we’re looking for

  • Experience in video production
  • Understanding light, composition, and movement
  • Understanding of the different roles involved in on-location filming
  • Experience with editing software such as Final Cut Pro X, Premiere, After Effects
  • Positivity and an enthusiasm for learning and teamwork
  • Bonus – Experience freelancing, producing work for clients
  • Bonus – Currently enrolled in a Digital Media or Film program
  • Bonus – A degree in Digital Media or related field
