Animation Intern

Maestro is seeking an animation intern for a paid, summer-long program designed to expose the intern to real, client-facing work primarily in the field of digital media. We expect this internship to run from May through August 2020, but don’t worry—we can be flexible on the specifics.

Who you are

You, my friend, are a storyteller and want to produce meaningful work. You are independent, driven, and always expanding your skill set. Not only are you comfortable with self-starting, you feel inspired to create great content and love to explore new things on your own. You have excellent communication skills and are interested in learning more about 2D animation and motion design.
What you’ll be doing on the Media Team
  • Assist in the production of 2D animation and motion design projects
  • Help develop creative concepts based on scripts and creative direction
  • Support the creative team with animation and graphics as needed
  • Dedicate at least 20 hours to this internship per week

Talents we’re looking for

  • Experience in animation
  • Understanding of basic animation principles
  • Proficiency with After Effects
  • Positivity and an enthusiasm for learning and teamwork
  • Bonus – Experience freelancing, producing work for clients
  • A demo reel showcasing 2D and/or 3D animation and compositing
  • Ability to understand and maintain clean project structure and organization
